Privacy Policy

Cleargate connects only to the gate server operated by your organisation. Your organisation is the data controller for records created in the app. Sapient Codelabs provides the software and does not receive your operational data.

• Operator account data — the username and PIN/credentials used to sign in, to authenticate operators and supervisors.
• Vehicle and visit records — vehicle registration numbers and the driver details entered at the gate (name, licence number, contact number, cleaner name) needed to issue a gate pass.
• Vehicle compliance data — insurance, fitness and pollution (PUC) status looked up for the vehicle.
• Camera — used solely to scan gate-pass barcodes/QR codes at exit. The app does not take or store photographs and does not access your photo library.
• Server address — the gate server URL you connect to, stored on the device.

The app does not collect location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics, and contains no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

Data entered in the app is transmitted to your organisation’s gate server to create and retrieve gate-pass and vehicle records, and is used only to operate the gate-management workflow. Retention and access are governed by your organisation’s policies. The login token and server address are stored securely on the device and cleared on sign-out.

We do not sell or share data with third parties. Vehicle compliance lookups are performed by your organisation’s server against official vehicle-record sources.

Camera — barcode/QR scanning of gate passes at exit. Optional; the rest of the app works without granting it.

Traffic between the app and the gate server is served over HTTPS. Access requires an operator login issued by your organisation.

Cleargate is a workplace tool and is not directed to children.
